Jane wrote and directed her first play, Thieves of Dunfermline, in 2014 and has since written four plays for A Play, A Pie and A Pint in Glasgow. These include the award-winning Jocky Wilson Said which transferred to the Edinburgh Festival and is to be included in the first published anthology of PPP plays.
She was one of the BBC’s Scottish Voices 2019 and is a current recipient of a Playwrights’ Studio Scotland Partners Award. She also won a Scottish BAFTA New Talent Best Writer Award for her screenplay Roses of Picardy.
Before writing, Jane had a long career in corporate communications working, in-house and freelance for blue chip companies, local authorities and creative agencies. She has a Masters in Creative Writing from Edinburgh Napier University and is an Artistic Director of Outwith Festival.
Jane is married with three adult daughters and lives in Dunfermline, Fife.
